Report: Stuttgart find two potential takers for Förster

Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart have two interested parties for one of the players they hope to offload.
VfB Stuttgart attacking midfielder Philipp Förster, according to Germany's main sporting tabloid, sits on his current club's so-called "strike list". The Swabians once paid SV Sandhausen €3 million for the 27-year-old. After three seasons in BaWü, however, the natural eight is considered something of a bust.

Förster made a total of 76 appearances for the VfB, scoring seven goals and registering seven assists. In the second half of the 2021/22 campaign, he made only three starting appearances in head-coach Pellegrino Matarazzo's lineup. Though Förster maintains an estimated market value of €2.5 million, Sven Mislintat and the club administrative team seem content to sell him for far less than that.

Sky Germany reports that VfL Bochum are interested in taking the Bretten native on. As per the report, the current transfer fee being negotiated hovers around a mere €500,000. Sky also notes that one of Förster's former clubs, 1. FC Nürnberg, have also inquired about him. Förster spent 2017 in the Nürnberg system, solely playing for the reserves.
