The 20-year-old striker, who together with older brother Timothy currently of SpVgg Greuther Fürth, joined the Bayern Academy campus long before he was a teenager. The younger Tillman brother made a surprising about face earlier this spring, committing to play for the U.S. Men's national team after previously declaring himself happy with his place in the German youth ranks.
"I'm very happy to have signed with Rangers and I'm looking forward to getting started," Tillman noted in a statement released by the club, "It's a new challenge for me at a big club with fantastic supporters. I can't wait for the season ahead."
"I am delighted to welcome Malik to our squad for the 2022/23 season," head-coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst added, "He is an exciting young talent who will further strengthen our attacking ranks."
Tillman has made seven appearances for the FCB senior squad.
