Ribery hopes to stay at Bayern

While Arjen Robben has announced his departure from Bayern München, Franck Ribery still hopes to stay at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern München veteran Franck Ribery's contract is set to run out after the season, but the 35-year-old says he is hopeful it will be extended.

When Bild asked the French winger if he expects to stay at Bayern, he responded:

"You never know what will happen in life. I hope I will, but I can't decide that on my own."

"If there's room for me, I'll stay here," Ribery said.

Meanwhile, Arjen Robben - Ribery's teammate through nearly a decade - announced on Sunday that he will leave Bayern after this season, and club president Uli Hoeness has suggested that it's 'very likely' that this will also be Ribery's last season at the Bavarian club.

Ribery was signed from Olympique Marseille in 2007. The French winger has played 405 games for Bayern with 118 goals and 180 assists to his name.
