Rüdiger didn't consider a move back to Germany

Germany centre-back Antonio Rüdiger has revealed he didn't consider a move back to the Bundesliga during the summer transfer window.
For Antonio Rüdiger, a return to the Bundesliga was out of the question in the summer despite numerous inquiries.

The German international, who left Chelsea to join Real Madrid, told Sport1:

"There were only two options for me: Either I'd stay at Chelsea or I'd go to Real. Germany was not a serious option."

So far, Rüdiger has featured in nine games and started four times for Real Madrid, and the 29-year-old is pleased with his start to life under Carlo Ancelotti in the Spanish capital.

"After a few months with him, I have to say that Ancelotti is untouchable when it comes to dealing with players. Don Carlo is a coaching legend - he was already collecting Champions League titles when I was a kid. To work with him now on a daily basis and at the most successful club in the world is wonderful," said Rüdiger.
