Reports: Leverkusen negotiate with young defensive midfield talent

Sky Germany's Marlon Irlbacher and Kicker Magazine's Stephan van Nocks report that Bayer 04 Leverkusen have found a midfield prospect for the future.

Belgian youth international Noah Mbamba-Muanda is set to join die Werkself on a free after the season concludes.
Two reliable German media sources presently report that Bayer 04 Leverkusen are in talks with Club Brugge defensive midfielder Noah Mbamba-Muanda over a move to Germany on a free transfer this summer. The 18-year-old Belgian youth international is available on an expiring contract.

In spite of some reports to the contrary, it looks as if Leverkusen wishes to maintain the services of veteran midfielder Charles Aranguiz for the duration of the current campaign. Mbamba-Muanda thus serves as a long-term replacement for the 33-year-old Chilean.

Mbamba-Muanda himself has flitted back and forth between the Brugges senior side and the reserves this season, yet still maintains an estimated market worth of some €3 million. The teenage talent has made a total of 16 appearances at the top level.
