Bayern stars impressed by wonderkid Alphonso Davies

      Bayern München newcomer Alphonso Davies showed some glimpses of what he can do as he helped the Bavarians to a 4-2 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach on penalties in the Telekom Cup final on Sunday.

      And the 18-year-old winger, who has recently joined the club from Vancouver Whitecaps, has already impressed his teammates.

      "I think he gives us a lot of speed going forward and that he's good in one-on-one situations," Bayern captain Manuel Neuer said according to Sport.de and added:

      "He's a very young player, who can still learn learn a lot, but he can also help us in the near future."

      Meanwhile, David Alaba describes Davies as a "super kid with a lot of quality and potential" while Joshua Kimmich has been blown away by the youngster's pace:

      "He has brutal speed and is extremely dynamic. That can help us," Kimmich said according to Sport.de.

      Davies scored 12 goals and made 14 assists in 81 appearances for Vancouver Whitecaps.
