Sky Report: Announcement on Hernandez contract extension nears
Sky Germany is now reporting that French defender Lucas Hernandez is set to extend his working papers with FC Bayern München. It should nevertheless be noted that reports of this nature have been surfacing for some time.
Reports that French defender Lucas Hernandez and FC Bayern München had decided to extend their professional relationship began appearing shortly after Christmas. Over the course of the last four months, however, no confirmation of a reported contract extension that will see the 27-year-old tied to the German record champions have come.
Sky Germany nevertheless now reports that the two sides have ironed out a deal and that an announcement should be forthcoming soon. Hernandez remains on the comeback trail from an ACL tear sustained during the World Cup. His current contract with the German giants runs through the end of next season.
