Bayern back alive in race for Bella-Kotchap, Plettenberg claims
Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg now reports that FC Bayern München have returned to the table in high stakes game to acquire German defender Armel Bella-Kotchap from Southampton FC.
Having reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Borussia Dortmund earlier in the day, German international Armel Bella-Kotchap may yet still be persuaded to join Germany's record champions. Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg reports that the FCB front office have now gotten back in the game after a move for Chelsea's Trevoh Chalobah fell through.
If true, such a development will almost certainly mean that there will be no definitive answers to where the 21-year-old will play next season until tomorrow. The now twice-capped German international will need time to consider his sporting future. The current Southampton central defender was not included in Bundestrainer Hansi Flick's latest round of call ups for the coming international break.
