Tuchel discusses competition between Guerreiro and Davies, intends to keep Kimmich at right-back
At a press conference on Friday, Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel opened up about the competition for the left-back position between Raphael Guerreiro and Alphonso Davies. He also revealed that he plans to keep Joshua Kimmich at right-back despite Aleksandar Pavlovic's suspension.

Raphael Guerreiro has started the last five games at left-back, and it's now up to Tuchel to decide whether to keep the Portugal international in the starting line-up or drop him in favor of Davies.
"In Raphael Guerreiro's favor is the fact that he's played the last few games and been an important part of them," Tuchel told reporters at a press conference on Friday.
"They both have the quality to start. Rapha has played a lot. Alphonso Davies is ready and has made two substitute appearances since his injury. It helps when there is competition, when players are fighting for their place. Both are ready to start now."
When it comes to replacing the suspended Aleksandar Pavlovic, Tuchel is leaning towards using Konrad Laimer in midfield rather than moving Kimmich up from the right-back position.
"I'm not sure if it makes sense to change our back four again. Sacha Boey is back in training but not fully fit yet. Noussair Mazraoui won't be in the squad yet. We haven't made a final decision yet. The tendency is that Konrad Laimer will play as a holding midfielder and we will keep the same back four," Tuchel said.
