Saarbrücken vs. Kaiserslautern preview: Team news and predicted lineups

Here is our preview of Tuesday's DFB-Pokal semifinal clash between Saarbrücken and Kaiserslautern, including predicted lineups.
Having previously knocked out three Bundesliga sides in Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt and Gladbach, 3. Liga side Saarbrücken are now just one step away from sensationally reaching the final of the DFB-Pokal.

Their opponents, Kaiserslautern of the 2. Bundesliga, have also enjoyed a sensational cup run, although FC Köln are the only top-flight side they've faced.

Neither team have had the ideal build-up to the game, with both suffering defeats at the weekend.

Saarbrücken, only 11th in the 3. Liga, lost 2-0 to Duisburg. Kaiserslautern, meanwhile, went down 1-3 to Fortuna Düsseldorf and are 16th in the 2. Bundesliga, fighting to avoid relegation.

The last time the two teams met in a 3. Liga match was two years ago, when Kaiserslautern won 3-1. The 2. Bundesliga team will be favored to win this match as well, but getting past Saarbrücken will be easier said than done.

Saarbrücken's injury list consists of Sebastian Jacob, Richard Neudecker, Frederik Recktenwald, Patrick Schmidt and Bone Uaferro.

Kaiserslautern will be without Hendrick Zuck, while top scorer Ragnar Ache is expected to miss the match.
