RB Leipzig are in talks with Lukas Klostermann over a new deal

RB Leipzig want Lukas Klostermann to sign a contract extension, says club boss Markus Krösche.

RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche has confirmed that the club have have opened talks with Lukas Klostermann over a new contract.

Klostermann's current deal runs until 2021, and 'Die Roten Bullen' are eager to tie the 23-year-old down to a longer contract.

"In recent years, Lukas has been constantly developing with us and has become a German international," Markus Krösche told n-tv.de and added:

"Of course we would like him to sign an extension. We have already opened talks with him. However, his contract runs until 2021, so we still have some time."

The right-back joined RB Leipzig from VfL Bochum in 2014.
