Report: Mario Mandzukic will not be returning to Germany
Apparently, Mario Mandzukic isn't interested in coming back to Germany at this point.
Mario Mandzukic will not be joining Borussia Dortmund from Juventus, according to a report from Bild.
The former Wolfsburg and Bayern München striker, who is yet to play this season, has been linked with a move to Signal Iduna Park, but has reportedly now decided that he doesn't want to return to the German Bundesliga.
Bild mentions RB Salzburg's Erling Braut Haaland as an alternative option for Dortmund. According to the report, BVB have been keeping an eye on the highly-rated youngster for a while.
However, Dortmund would surely face hefty competition for the 19-year-old who won't be allowed to leave Austria until the summer when he will be available for €30 million thanks to a release clause.
