RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed he has met with RB Salzburg striker Erling Haaland and his agent to discuss a potential transfer.
"I tried to explain to him in good English what my idea of football is. I think it went quite well," Nagelsmann told Kicker and added:
"You can say relatively little after such conversations, because they are usually very one-sided. You say a lot as a coach while the agent and the player mostly listen."
Haaland has also held talks with Dortmund whom Nagelsmann and RB Leipzig will face in the Bundesliga next week.
Asked if he believes a win on Tuesday would give 'Die Roten Bullen' an advantage in the race for Haaland's signature, Nagelsmann said with a smile:
"You'll have to ask him about that. It could be a factor."
Haaland, who has scored 28 goals in 22 games this season, is understood to be available for €20 million in January.
