Gladbach boss Max Eberl not worried about losing Denis Zakaria

Gladbach boss Max Eberl is relaxed about Denis Zakaria's contract situation.
Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl isn't currently thinking about letting Denis Zakaria go.

Zakaria has caught the eye with his impressive performances this season, but Eberl says he isn't afraid of losing the 23-year-old who's under contract until the summer of 2022.

"We don't need to be afraid of having to sell him next year, because we're only talking about one year. It's a comfortable situation for all of us," Eberl said in an interview with Rheinische Post.

"Denis still has two and a half years left of his contract, but he also knows that we would very much like to extend it. We know that his time here will come to an end at some point, but that doesn't exclude a contract extension," he added.

Gladbach paid €12 million to sign Zakaria from Swiss side Young Boys in 2017.
