Official: Werder seal Selke signing

Davie Selke has left Hertha BSC for a return to Werder Bremen.
Werder Bremen have confirmed the signing of Davie Selke from Hertha BSC.

'The Green Whites' have signed Selke on loan until the summer of 2021 with an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.

"We're pleased that we were able to bring in Davie just before the end of the transfer window. He's exactly the type of player we need and will be able to help us with his qualities in the second half of the season," said Werder sporting director Frank Baumann in a statement.

The striker came through the youth ranks at Werder and netted 10 times in 36 games before joining RB Leipzig in 2015. He then went on to join Hertha in 2017.
