Schalke not planning to sign a replacement for Alex Nübel

Schalke boss Jochen Schneider sees no need to sign a replacement for Alex Nübel.
Schalke 04 have no intention of bringing in a replacement for Alex Nübel when the goalkeeper leaves Veltins-Arena to join Bayern München at the end of the season, says the club's head of sport, Jochen Schneider.

Speaking in an interview with Sport1, Schneider points out that he sees no reason to sign a new goalkeeper, with Ralf Fährmann set to return from his loan spell at Norwich City to compete with Markus Schubert for the spot between the sticks.

"We're looking forward to his return, and so is he. Ralf is a great goalkeeper," Schneider said.

Markus Schubert, 21, started four games earlier this season while Nübel was suspended.
