Report: Achraf Hakimi set to join Inter

Achraf Hakimi is apparently set to join Inter at the end of the season.
Borussia Dortmund have expressed great interest in holding on to Achraf Hakimi, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Signal Iduna Park from Real Madrid.

However, according to Sky Sport Italia, the 21-year-old is poised to complete a move to Inter at the end of the season, at which point his loan spell in Dortmund is over.

Inter are understood to have reached an agreement in principle with Real Madrid on a deal worth €40 million, with Hakimi keen on a move to Italy.

"We know what we can and cannot do in the Hakimi case. We are in close contact with Real Madrid. He's still our player for a few days," Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc told Sport1 on Friday.

According to Sport1, Dortmund could only afford to offer €20 million for the full-back due to the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.

Hakimi has made a total of 72 appearances for Dortmund with 12 goals and 17 assists to his name.
