Frank Baumann confirms Max Kruse has turned down an offer from Werder

Werder Bremen boss Frank Baumann reveals that Max Kruse has turned down the chance to return to the Weserstadion.
Max Kruse will not be returning to the Weserstadion this summer, Werder Bremen sporting director Frank Baumann has confirmed.

The 32-year-old, who left Werder to join Fenerbahce last summer, has made it clear that he wants to return to the Bundesliga after his contract with the Turkish side has been terminated.

According to Bild, Werder offered Kruse a two-year contract with the option of extending the deal by a further season. But, apparently, he has other plans.

"I can confirm that we have had talks with Max Kruse, but he has decided otherwise and will not be moving to SV Werder," Baumann said on Wednesday.

Kruse has also been linked with Schalke 04, Union Berlin and Hertha BSC.
