Eberl on Gladbach's coach search: 'We know who we want it to be'

Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl reveals he has a clear idea of who he wants to succeed Marco Rose as coach amid reports linking Frankfurt's Adi Hütter with the job.
Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has revealed he knows who he wants to succeed Borussia Dortmund-bound Marco Rose as head coach of the club.

"We know who we want it to be. At this point in time, however, we won't let anyone look at our cards," Eberl told Bild.

According to Bild, Eintracht Frankfurt coach Adi Hütter remains the clear favorite and is expected to take over the job.

Per the German tabloid, Gladbach could confirm the appointment of Hütter next week ahead of their clash with Frankfurt.

Alternately, the announcement could be made once when it's clear if Frankfurt – currently in fourth place – will seal a Champions League spot.

Hütter is said to prefer the latter solution, so that a potential dip in form can not be associated with his departure.
