Report: Leverkusen eye Saliba, want to keep Tapsoba

Bayer Leverkusen are understood to be keeping tabs on William Saliba as they want to add to their defensive ranks.
Bayer Leverkusen are interested in Arsenal centre-back William Saliba, according to Kicker.

But the 20-year-old's reported price tag of around €30 million clearly exceeds Leverkusen's transfer budget, as per the German football magazine.

Saliba is scheduled to return to 'The Gunners' at the end of June after a one-year loan spell at French side OGC Nice.

Should it prove impossible to reach an agreement with Arsenal for Saliba, Leverusen have identified an alternative in the shape of Jeremiah St. Juste, who has also been linked with Borussia Dortmund and VfL Wolfsburg.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are said to be keen on acquiring the services of Leverkusen centre-back Edmond Tapsoba, but Kicker claims 'Die Werkself' are reluctant to sell the higly-rated centre-back, who is still under contract until 2026.
