Kicker Report: Köln negotiate loan for Dortmund's Tigges
German footballing magazine Kicker reports that 1. FC Köln are currently in negotiations with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker Steffen Tigges.
Seeking to avoid a repeat of last season, Germany's cathedral city club know full well that they must procure attacking options to augment the injury-prone Anthony Modeste and congenitally hurt Sebastian Andersson. Germany's preeminent footballing publication reports that the search has led to Dortmund, where die Geißböcke and Schwarzgelben are currently working out a loan scenario for Steffen Tigges.
The 22-year-old Osnabrück native earned his first call-ups to the BVB seniors under the regime of interim trainer Edin Terzic last autumn. He ended up making seven appearances for the first team, starting once in the league and once in the Pokal.
