Ritsu Doan rumors crop up again with Frankfurt in the mix

Holland's "Eindhovens Dagblad" is reporting fresh rumnors that Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga clubs are pushing PSV to procure Japanese international Ritsu Doan.
One of the summer transfer rumors that obstinately refuses to die involves the return of PSV Eindhoven attacker Ritsu Doan to the Bundesliga. After a successful campaign on loan at Bielefeld, the 23-year-old's stated enthusiasm for playing football in Germany continues to fuel speculation that some German football club will find a way of getting him back.

The makeup of PSV's squad under German coach Roger Schmidt also contributes to the perpetuation of the rumors. An attacking battalion that already features Mario Götze, Cody Gakpo, and Noni Madueke likely means that Doan cannot expect to receive much playing time this year. A fresh loan-out would seem to serve the Dutch club's interest.

According to the "Eindhovens Dagblad", however, PSV prefers to negotiate an outright sale. The Japanese international's current market value stands at €7 million and the rood-witten want at least €6.5 million for the player.

The Dutch source mentions previous purchase candidates FSV Mainz 05 and 2. Bundesliga side Hannover 96. Additionally, an Eintracht Frankfurt side with pressing personnel issues is reported to be in the mix.

Doan could potentially fit in well in Germany's commercial capital, playing alongside countrymen Makoto Hasebe and Daichi Kamada.
