Nkunku hat-trick powers Leipzig to thumping win over Eintracht Frankfurt

RB Leipzig maintained their perfect home record this season with a clear 6-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday evening.
Die Roten Bullen made a blistering start, racing into a 2-0 lead inside the opening five minutes. Ezechiel Banzuzi opened the scoring within the first minute before Christopher Nkunku doubled Leipzig's advantage, finishing off a well-worked move set up by Antonio Nusa.
After the early setback, Eintracht gradually grew into the contest and threatened to pull a goal back through Ritsu Doan and Ansgar Knauff, but they were both denied by Maarten Vandevoordt, who produced important saves to preserve Leipzig's two-goal cushion.
Leipzig then effectively put the contest beyond doubt before half-time, with Nkunku completing his hat-trick by pouncing on rebounds on two separate occasions to extend the hosts' lead to 4-0 at the break.
The hosts continued where they left off after the restart and added a fifth in the 54th minute. Nusa drove forward with purpose before unleashing a powerful effort that beat Noah Atubolu at his near post.
Leipzig took their foot off the gas a bit after Nusa's goal, withdrawing several key players ahead of a hectic run of fixtures. However, they still had one final goal in them, as second-half substitute Tidiam Gomis burst forward to make it 6-0 and put the finishing touch on a dominant performance just before the final whistle.
The win lifts Martin Demichelis' side to fifth in the Bundesliga table, while Adi Hütter's Eintracht Frankfurt drop to 13th.
