NEW Bundesliga market value updates! Florian Wirtz sets a new record

Transfermarkt.de have updated many market values in their most recent update. While the in-form teams Leverkusen and Mainz were able to increase their player values a lot, other teams like Bayern Munich had to accept some downgrades.

A total of 489 Bundesliga players have received an update on their current market value. The invincible team of Bayer Leverkusen were able to increase their total squad value: + €53,8m for the double winners!

Former Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich, however, were not quite as succesful this season - hence their total squad value drop of - €58,5m! Not every Bayern player was unlucky in this update: Jamal Musiala received a +€10m upgrade and is now the second most valuable player in the Bundesliga with a market value of €120m.

The most valuable player in the German top flight also sets a new market value record: it's Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz! After an upgrade of €20m, Wirtz stands at an unbelievable amount of €130m - the highest market value since Transfermarkt's introduction in 2004!

U21 DFB player and Mainz shooting star Brajan Gruda has received the second biggest upgrade (+11m) and is now being valued at €20m. He has recently been rumoured with a transfer to Bayern Munich.

The player with the biggest market drop might surprise you: it's Bayern's winger Kingsley Coman! The French internation has received a minus of €15m - his new market value stands now at €50m. But he is not the only Bayern player to receive a downgrade: Bayern's player of the season Harry Kane has also been downgraded by €10m. According to Transfermarkt, the reason for that is Kane's age, not his perfomance this season.
