Manchester United have completed a double deal to sign Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich.

The moves were confirmed by both clubs on Tuesday evening.

“FC Bayern thanks Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui for their successful time with the club," said Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl.

"Matthijs is a player who always gives everything and leaves his heart on the pitch – fans will never forget his crucial sliding tackle in the Champions League knockout match against Paris Saint-Germain, among other things.

"Similarly, Nous was always a reliable performer during his two years here. We wish them both all the best for their future at Manchester United in the Premier League.”

Mazraoui joined Bayern from Ajax in 2022 and went on to feature 55 times for the club, scoring once and providing eight assists.

De Ligt made the switch to Bayern from Juventus in 2022. He made 73 appearances for the Bavarians, racking up five goals and two assists.
