Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed this evening via social media that left-back Keita Kosugi has signed from Djurgårdens IF.

The 19-year-old moved from his Japanese youth club Shonan Bellmare to Swedish first division side Djurgårdens IF in March 2024.

He immediately became a regular starter and the defender has played almost every minute in each competitive match since.

In the Swedish Allsvenskan, the national cup, and the UEFA Conference League, Kosugi has made a total of 62 appearances.

The full-back chipped in going forward too, scoring five goals and providing seven assists in his time with the club.

“With Keita Kosugi, we have signed a young left-back who, in addition to good technical ball control, also possesses a high work rate and willingness to run.

“He has already proven his qualities as a regular starter in the Swedish league as well as in European competition and has great potential for development,” said sporting director Timmo Hardung.
