After a momentary breakdown in discussions over recent weeks, Jesper Lindstrøm finally seems to be on his way to FC Schalke 04.
According to Sky Germany, the two parties have reached an agreement and only final details need to be negotiated between the clubs.
While a loan deal is being discussed, Schalke could potentially secure an option or even an obligation to buy the player permanently.
The problem, however, is that Lindstrøm is still under contract with SSC Napoli until summer of 2028 and won't come cheap.
Last season, the Danish international was on loan at VfL Wolfsburg, but failed to impress and prevent the Autostadt club's relegation.
The Royal Blues hopes that Lindstrøm can rediscover the form he showed the Bundesliga during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt.
During his spell at the Hessen outfit between 2021 and 2023, Lindstrøm produced 14 goals and 14 assists in 80 games.
