Nico Schlotterbeck has singled out Borussia Dortmund's summer signing Joane Gadou for praise after a strong start to life at the club.

In an interview with the Westphalian outfit's media, the German defender said “the new signings are all top-class.”

“Just thinking about Joane Gadou playing alongside me in central defense, that's just top-class,” Schlotterbeck said with a smile.

Having joined from RB Salzburg for €20million in the summer, Gadou immediately established himself in Niko Kovač's back three.

The 19-year-old Frenchman, together with Waldemar Anton, helped keep two clean sheets in three Bundesliga games thus far.

"I'm very happy and I also have the feeling that a lot is possible with this team. It's a great feeling.

"Above all, it's lifted my spirits again," said Schlotterbeck, touching on his comeback last Saturday in a 3-0 win over SC Paderborn.

Tomorrow, BVB's task gets tougher, making the daunting trip away to VfB Stuttgart for their last test before the international break arrives.
