Schlotterbeck on World Cup ending injury: “I need some time to process everything"
The centre-half will likely be sidelined for around two months and will miss the remainder of Germany's 2026 World Cup campaign.

After receiving the heartbreaking news that his World Cup is over, Nico Schlotterbeck took to Instagram to give his supporters an update.
“I still need some time to process everything and talk about it at a later point,” the defender wrote underneath a post.
"That's why I won't be making any detailed statements on the matter for now. What matters now is the team.
"They deserve the full support of everyone in Germany. Let's stand together and show that we back this German national team.
“Through both the good times and the difficult ones, and support them on their journey the the World Cup title”.
The Dortmund man is the second player Germany have lost to injury after Bayern star Lennart Karl missed out before the tournament started.
