Sky Report: Two Bundesliga clubs interested in winter loan for Weißhaupt

Sky Germany reports that both 1. FC Heidenheim and FC St. Pauli are interested in taking struggling former German youth international Noah Weißhaupt on loan in January.

Twenty-three-year-old SC Freiburg attacker Noah Weißhaupt may receive an opportunity to accrue more playing time for a different top flight side in the new calendar year. The six-times-capped Germany U21 international has made just three appearances for Julian Schuster's SCF. His peak market worth of €7 million has dropped to €3.5 million in the latest transfermarkt update.

Weißhaupt does bring with him the experience of 55 German top division appearances. Previous Freiburg gaffer Christian Streich deployed Weißhaupt 33 times across all competitions last year. He turned in a brilliant performance in a 3-3 draw with Gladbach on match-day 10, scoring a goal and notching an assist. Sky Germany reports that St. Pauli and Heidenheim are interested in a loan arrangement.

Schuster is on record as stating that Weißhaupt has been having trouble finding a regular rhythm on the training pitch due in part to multiple minor injuries. The Rostock native hasn't made an appearance under Schuster since match-day nine this year. He hasn't made Schuster's match-day selection against Wolfsburg and Leverkusen in the past two league rounds.
