Veteran forward Edin Dzeko has been an instant hit at Schalke 04 following his January move from Fiorentina, racking up four goals and three assists in five 2. Bundesliga games so far.

With his 40th birthday just around the corner in March, Dzeko is approaching the end of his illustrious career, but he's not ruling out playing another season.

When asked by Sport Bild if he'll end his career in the summer, Dzeko responded:

“Sorry, I can’t answer that yet because I don’t know.

“I’m not the type to say months in advance that I will stop playing. I don’t plan that far ahead. I will listen to my body in the summer, and right now I feel very good. I still have goals, even with the national team,” he added.

The former Wolfsburg striker went on to specify that playing at the World Cup with Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of those goals, but he pointed out that they first have to get through the play-offs.

“Of course. Even though it won’t be easy. In the playoffs, we face a very strong opponent in Wales,” he confirmed.
