VfB Stuttgart midfielder Chema Andrés has told The Athletic that he “would be delighted” to return to Real Madrid in the future.

The 20-year-old Spaniard, who left the Spanish capital club to join the Bundesliga side last summer, spoke about the possibility of a return to the Bernabéu:

“That’s something the club has to decide - I’d be delighted to return to Madrid, but it’s not something I’m worrying about right now,” he said.

“I’m very happy at Stuttgart. I’ve told my agent I don’t want to know anything about that. When the time comes, we’ll talk and see what options we have.”

It has previously been reported that Real Madrid hold a buyback option of around €13.5 million for this summer, which will increase each year if it is not exercised.
