VfB Stuttgart could strengthen up front during the winter transfer window.

According to Bild and Sky Germany, the Bundesliga side are close to reaching an agreement to sign Jeremy Arévalo from Racing Santander.

The 20-year-old Ecuador international has a €7 million release clause in his contract, which according to Sky must be triggered by the player himself in order to be activated.

If everything goes according to plan, the young striker is expected to undergo his medical by Monday at the latest.

Arévalo has scored seven goals in 17 appearances for Racing Santander in Spain’s second division this season.
