Thomas Tuchel backs Kane to beat Mbappé and Yamal to Ballon d’Or

Harry Kane is one of the leading candidates to win the Ballon d’Or when the award is handed out next month, with the Bayern Munich star competing with the likes of Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé and Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.

For England coach Thomas Tuchel, who works with Kane at international level, the 33-year-old striker deserves to take home the award.

“Yeah. After this season, yeah,” Tuchel told ITV.

“Seventy-plus goals, three titles with Bayern Munich, semi-finals at the World Cup and in the Champions League.

“He’s getting better and better. I think he’s added a level of physicality to his game.

“He’s just so committed to the high press and so committed to being involved in every part of the match.

“Be it in the deep build-up, be it in finishing, be it in build-up play in the middle block, be it in defending. It’s just the full package.”
