VfL Wolfsburg are exploring a deal to sign Raphael Onyedika from Club Brugge ahead of Deadline Day, Sky Germany is aware.

The 24-year-old is under contract with the Belgian Pro League side until 2027 and is valued at €20million by Transfermarkt.com.

However, the Autostadt club is not alone given the defensive midfielder is also on Eintracht Frankfurt’s summer shortlist.

This campaign, Onyedika has played 25 games across all competitions with a goal each in the Champions League and domestically.

The pay-TV channel also notes that the Lower Saxony side also made efforts in recent days to sign Konstantinos Mavropanos (28).

However, the former VfB Stuttgart centre-half was not given permission to leave West Ham United where his contract runs until 2028.
