Even after just three games in charge, players like Florian Wirtz and Said El Mala are already raving about life under Jürgen Klopp.
“He has a very good rapport with every player,” Wirtz told RTL and Sky Germany about the Germany coach after their 2-0 win over Serbia.
"He tries to approach each player and make him feel good – that he's important and that he [the player] deserves to be here.
"It's important that every player feels valued. And I think Klopp is a real master at that. It simply helps the whole team.
“Everyone is eager to do what they want,” Wirtz concluded. His points were also echoed by 1.FC Köln star Said El Mala minutes later.
"The coach is so close to us and makes us all feel like we're part of it. The way he talks to us, the way he fires us up.
“Even before a game or during the week. It just feels good. It's extremely fun to train under him,” confessed El Mala.
It goes without saying, Klopp will be looking to make it back-to-back victories with a win against Greece in Thessaloniki on Monday.
