Augsburg reportedly join Union in pursuit of Stöger

FC Augsburg have reportedly joined the race to sign VfL Bochum's Kevin Stöger, who has also been linked with Union Berlin.

VfL Bochum talisman Kevin Stoeger has put himself in the sights of FC Augsburg, according to Sky Germany.

The 30-year-old central midfielder is out of contract in the summer, meaning he's available on a free transfer.

Augsburg could face competition from Union Berlin, who reportedly made a move for Stöger in January and are likely to make another attempt to sign him this summer.

Stöger has arguably been Bochum's most important player this season, pulling the strings in midfield.

He has been directly involved in 12 goals (five goals, seven assists) in 26 league appearances for the club so far in the 2023/24 season.
