Kim Min-jae will not be involved when South Korea face Uzbekistan on Tuesday.
The Bayern Munich centre-back missed team training two days in a row ahead of the game due to fatigue, instead working indoors.
“Kim has undergone separate recovery training for two straight days,” a national team representative said, according to Korea JoongAng Daily.
“It’s not a serious injury that would require him to leave the squad. He seems to be dealing with fatigue from his recent matches,” he continued.
Kim started South Korea’s previous three games under interim coach Roberto Moreno, a 3-0 win over Ecuador, a 4-1 defeat to Uruguay and a 0-0 draw with Venezuela.
