Eintracht Frankfurt saw off Hamburger SV in the final game of Bundesliga Matchday 8 on Sunday evening, securing a 3-1 win at Deutsche Bank Park.
It was the second consecutive victory over Die Rothosen for Eintracht, having beaten them 3-1 at the Volksparkstadion in the DFB-Pokal in midweek.
Die Adler took the lead just 10 minutes into the game when Warmed Omari inadvertently turned the ball into his own net while attempting to prevent it from reaching Younes Ebnoutalib at the back post.
However, HSV quickly hit back to equalise through Terem Moffi, who was picked out by Albert Grønbæk inside the box after Lillian Brassier failed to clear the ball properly.
Eintracht regained the lead early in the second half, with Raphael Onyedika finding the back of the net after Daniel Heuer Fernandes parried Brassier's header poorly.
After Fares Chaibi had a goal ruled out for offside, Eintracht Frankfurt eventually added a third, with Younes Ebnoutalib rounding off the scoring in the 69th minute to make it 3-1.
The result lifts Eintracht to eighth in the Bundesliga table, while HSV sit 15th.
