Kicker Report: Bremen close to re-acquiring striker Topp from Schalke

Germany's preeminent footballing publication reports that SV Werder Bremen are on the verge of re-acquiring FC Schalke 04 breakout star Keke Topp.

wenty-year-old German striker Keke Topp is on the verge of returning to his old academy club. The FC Schalke 04 breakout star (five goals and two assists in 25 2. Bundesliga appearances this season) will head back to SV Werder Bremen, according to Germany's Kicker Magazine. The German U20 international featured at the Bremen academy between 2013 and 2021. 

Topp's successful season has seen him increase his estimated market worth to €3 million. Kicker reports that Bremen will purchase Topp for €1.5 million and sign him to a four-year-deal. The youngster can immediately fill the developmental gap opened up by Nick Woltemade's move to VfB Stuttgart on a free. Top has scored an impressive 11 goals at the Germany U20 level and below.
