Leverkusen defender inks new contract

Jonathan Tah has extended his contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2025.
Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed that Jonathan Tah has signed a new long-term deal with the club.

The 25-year-old centre-back, whose contract was due to expire in 2023, has signed a new deal until 2025.

"I feel incredibly comfortable at this club. When I came to Leverkusen in 2015 as a very young player, I had the best conditions to develop and become the professional I am today. Early on in my career, I was able to play internationally with Bayer 04, which also helped me find my way into the national team," Tah commented.

""We've always had good players. But right now I have the feeling that something special is being created at Leverkusen. I believe in this team, in this club, and I see the chance for us to achieve something extraordinary."

Tah has featured a total of 233 times for Leverkusen, racking up five goals and nine assists.
