Thielmann ruled out for international duty
FC Köln winger Jan Thielmann will be unable to accept his first Germany U21 call-up. The 19-year-old has been ruled out again with an unspecified illness.
Antonio di Salvo's first Germany U21 squad is already down a man. Jan Thielmann of 1. FC Köln has been ruled out of both his club's weekend league encounter against Fürth and the two UEFA U21 European Championship qualifying matches next week with an unspecified illness.
Thielmann has already fallen ill once earlier this season, missing rounds three and four after a promising start to the new campaign. There is no word yet as to whether di Salvo plans to call up another player to replace the 19-year-old.
