DFB confirm late call-ups for Baku, Arnold and Volland

The DFB have announced that Ridle Baku, Maximilian Arnold and Kevin Volland will join the Germany squad following the news that five players have been ruled out by a positive coronavirus test.
Germany coach Hansi Flick has called up Wolfsburg duo Ridle Baku and Maximilian Arnold as well as Monaco's Kevin Volland, the DFB have confirmed.

'Die Mannschaft' have been hit by a number of absentees for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Armenia.

This morning, it was announced that five players have been placed in quarantine after a member of the squad tested positive for coronavirus.

The player, who tested positive, is Niklas Süle, with fellow Bayern players Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala and RB Salzburg's Karim Adeyemi the other four players in quarantine.

Yesterday, it was announced that Leverkusen's Jonathan Tah had been nominated as a replacement for Florian Wirtz, who is out with an injury.

Flick will also have to manage without Freiburg defender Nico Schlotterbeck, who is suffering from muscle problems.
