Eberl lauds praise on Reus: 'The best Marco Reus of all time'

Borussia Mönchengladbach boss Max Eberl has praised Marco Reus for his qualities on the pitch and indomitable will to always come back from injuries.
Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus has arguably been in the form of his life this season, scoring 11 goals in 17 appearances for the BVB in all competitions.

Is this the best Marco Reus of all time? Yes, according to Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl who knows Reus well as the BVB captain played for 'Die Fohlen' from 2009 to 2012.

Reus has faced several injury setbacks in the past, and Eberl believes the way he has bounced back is exemplary.

"The best Marco Reus of all time? Yes, but no only in terms of his football, but also as a leading player," Eberl told Sky and added:

"He has become a captain - and impressively so. I didn't think he would back then at Gladbach. With the way he always comes back after injuries, he must have set an example for many people."

"For me, Reus is a role model. He was lying on the ground and then came back with such character. He is an important factor - not only on the pitch, but also as a representation of the club and the team. That, for me, is extraordinary, and that's why the best Reus of all time is the full package," Eberl said.
