10 Bundesliga transfers that will happen this summer

With the summer transfer window coming up, many Bundesliga clubs already have notable deals in place.
Leon Goretzka, from Schalke 04 to Bayern München (free transfer)
The Schalke midfielder's much debated move to Bayern München on a free transfer was announced in January. Goretzka's decision logically didn't get the best reception from many, but he has insisted he needs to take a step up in order to grow as a player.

"I had the feeling that I needed to go out of my comfort zone in order to improve. I thought long and hard about it, and I was prepared for the fallout. It was the be-all and end-all for some while others understood. I certainly didn't want to offend any of the Schalke fans," Goretzka told Funke-Mediengruppe after his move.

Lukas Klünter, from 1. FC Köln to Hertha BSC (undisclosed)
The right-back will leave relegated FC Köln to join Hertha BSC for an undisclosed fee. Klünter, 21, was a regular for Köln during the first half of the season, but has fallen out of favor in 2018.

Salif Sané, from Hannover 96 to Schalke 04 (€7 million)
After five years at Hannover 96, the central defender will join Schalke 04 to fulfill his big dream of playing in the Champions League. Sané scored a goal and said an emotional farewell to the Hannover 96 fans in his last home match for the club that ended with a 3-1 win against Hertha BSC.

Mark Uth, from Hoffenheim to Schalke 04 (free transfer)
Schalke completed a major transfer coup in January as the club announced that Hoffenheim striker Mark Uth will join the club on a free transfer this summer. With 14 goals and eight assists in 30 Bundesliga appearances this season, the 26-year-old has been an integral part of Hoffenheim's deadly strikeforce.

Frederik Rønnow, from Brøndby IF to Eintracht Frankfurt (€2 million)
With Lukas Hradecky leaving Eintracht Frankfurt, 'Die Adler' has signed Danish international Frederik Rønnow as his replacement. Rønnow also succeeded Hradecky at the Finnish goalkeeper's previous clubs Esbjerg and Brøndby so that task isn't new to him. However, the 25-year-old will have to prove himself in the Bundesliga after moving abroad for the first time.

Paulinho, from Vasco da Gama to Bayer Leverkusen (€18,5 million)
Great things are expected from the 17-year-old offensive player who has impressed for the Brazilian under-17 national team and his club Vasco da Gama. At the FIFA U-17 World Cup in October 2017, Paulinho was one of the standout players as he helped Brazil reach the third place, and he has made his mark with two goals and two assists in six matches for Vasco da Gama in the South American Copa Libertadores.

Mitchell Weiser, from Hertha BSC to Bayer Leverkusen (€12 million)
Weiser's move to Leverkusen has been rumoured for some time, and it was finally announced yesterday. The former Bayern München player, who can play both at right-back and right-wing, has lately been accused of a lack of focus by Hertha coach Pal Dardai who has left him out of the squad for three matches in a row.

Felix Klaus, from Hannover 96 to VfL Wolfsburg (€3 million)
When it was announced in January that the 25-year-old winger will join Wolfsburg in the summer, he most likely didn't predict that 'Die Wölfe' would end up being one of the main relegation candidates. Wolfsburg will hope that Klaus will be able to add some spark to an offense that has looked static and without ideas lately.

Manuel Wintzheimer, from Bayern München to Hamburger SV (free transfer)
Just like Wolfsburg, Hamburger SV are one of the main relegation candidates, and it's doubtful that the club will stay in the Bundesliga. Still, HSV have been able to sign 19-year-old Manuel Wintzheimer who has been scoring for fun for Bayern's youth team and reserve team. The striker will make the move to Hamburger SV with hopes of playing time for the senior side.

David Bates, from Rangers to Hamburger SV (free transfer)
The Scottish centre-back, who has appeared 18 times for Rangers this season, will add depth to the HSV defense. He will join the club on a free transfer when his contract with Rangers expires this summer.
