Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg now reports that Armel Bella-Kotchap's loan move to Borussia Dortmund seems to be off the table for the time being. According to the German journalist, the two sides could not come to terms on a purchase option. Though Plettenberg's latest update remains rather nebulous, one assumes that the EFL side wished to build in an obligatory clause that Dortmund would not accept.

If true, this constitutes good news for FC Bayern München. The German giants also wish to obtain the 21-year-old. Bayern's search for a defensive reinforcement has reportedly been narrowed in the last few hours after reports began emerging that a deal for Chelsea's Trevoh Chalobah collapsed. The general consensus seems to be that Bayern will take advantage of the opportunity Bayern have accorded them and striker quickly.

Following last night's deal to bring 2022/23 Bundesliga leading goal-scorer Niclas Füllkrug to the German runners up, there have been whispers that BVB attacking phenom Youssoufa Moukoko might be loaned out. Speaking to German broadcaster Sport1 this morning, Moukoko's agent quickly dispelled such rumors. Advisor Patrick Williams in particular wished to note that his client had no interest in moving to Bremen or any other Bundesliga team.

Plettenberg nevertheless reports that some larger European clubs have contacted Dortmund this morning to enquire about a loan. The youngster might be persuaded to accept a loan to, among other organizations, the Serie A's Atalanta Bergamo. The 18-year-old certainly craves more playing time and the addition of Füllkrug diminishes his prospects.
