Dortmund officially introduce Füllkrug

Borussia Dortmund officially unveiled Niclas Füllkrug as a new signing late Thursday evening. 
The blockbuster deal sending German national team striker Niclas Füllkrug to Borussia Dortmund is officially through. The 30-year-old was unveiled late Thursday evening. Different German footballing media sources are reporting different numbers on the final transfer feee, with most settling on something in the neighborhood of €13 million plus another €2 million in add-ons.

Germany's preeminent footballing publication, Kicker Magazine, accepts this estimate. Kicker reports that the final sum is "definitely" well below the €20 million initially demanded by the Hanseaten. Füllkrug's new contract with Dortmund runs for three years. How BVB trainer Edin Terzic will work him into his current tactical constellation remains to be seen.

"Borussia Dortmund is a very special club," Füllkrug noted in his official statement, "I was delighted to receive the offer, because the move to this club is exactly what I wanted. At BVB, I have the chance to develop as a player and gain new experience. I'm eager for the tasks ahead and want to be as successful as possible with this team. I can't wait to experience the stadium with its extraordinary fans as a BVB professional."

"Niclas has proven his scoring prowess over the years and won the goalscorer's crown last season," BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl added,  Thanks to strong performances, he is rightly an important pillar in the national team's forward line. Niclas is on fire for the task at Borussia Dortmund. We are looking forward to this positive guy who will tear himself apart for our club."
