Official: Mané will return to Sporting CP
Carlos Mané will move back to Sporting CP when his loan deal with Stuttgart expires by the end of the month.
After spending the last two seasons on loan at VfB Stuttgart, Carlos Mané will move back to Sporting CP when his loan deal expires on June 30, the Portuguese side have announced.
There were talks that the midfielder could extend his stay at Stuttgart by signing either a new loan deal or a permanent deal, but it's now clear that he will return to Portugal.
"I have missed Sporting. It's a pleasure to be back at my heart club," Mané tells Sporting.pt.
Mané, 24, made 20 appearances and scored six goals for Stuttgart. He didn't play a single match in the past season because of a serious injury.
