Augsburg suspend Michael Gregoritsch

Michael Gregoritsch has been suspended by FC Augsburg over comments that he wants to leave the club in January.
FC Augsburg have punished Michael Gregoritsch after the 25-year-old recently made it clear that he wants to leave the club in January.

Gregoritsch has been suspended from training until Tuesday and will not be part of Augsburg's squad for Sunday's Bundesliga game against Hertha BSC. Additionally, he has been given a fine.

"The behaviour and comments made by Michael Gregoritsch are unacceptable in a team sport. His statements have raised serious doubts about his commitment to FC Augsburg. He now has time to think about his actions over the coming days," said Augsburg boss Stefan Reuter.

The Austrian international has made seven appearances for Augsburg this season.
