Report: Thomas Müller set to sign new Bayern contract

Bayern München and Thomas Müller are reportedly nearing a contract extension.
Thomas Müller and Bayern München have reached an agreement in principle on a contract extension, according to a report from Bild.

The 30-year-old, who is currently on a deal until 2021, is ready to put pen to paper on a new contract until 2023, as per the report.

The parties are now set to negotiate the final details of the contract, which could be extended by a further year until 2024 as a compromise if the German champions aren't willing to increase the wages of Müller, who currently earns €15 million a year.

Müller has spent his entire career at Bayern, making 521 appearances with 195 goals and 186 assists to his name.
